Pipin' Hot Pumpkin Soup!

This was one of the scariest dish for the night! Why? It was too hard to resist. The soup texture was very smooth, no lumpy clumpy here; it's the real deal. Every mouthful is like a new experience; you can never get enough of the taste. Coupled with bread cubes and fresh chopped parsley, the taste was just heavenly. Best of all, its not even salty and you can really taste and savor all of the pumpkin's flavor in the soup.

Not sinful enough? How about a Howlin' Pumpkin Pie? The base of the pie is like a tart shell topped with 1 scoop of Vanilla ice cream dressed with caramel sauce. Chunks of pumpkin are placed at the sides but don't be fooled by this innocent combination. The sweetness of the vanilla ice cream and caramel was a real killer. By the way, the pumpkin cubes here are not just pumpkin! They are actually prepped with a lot of other condiments such as vanilla essence, cinnamon and ginger powder. The choice of condiments blends with each other so well that the taste is hard to describe. How should I say it...exquisite?

This guy here was offering me one of the new devilish drink called Witches Brew. It is available ONLY during the halloween promotion. I don't really know much about cocktails and stuff so I politely declined his offer. Wrong move on my part. He became angry. I mean, REALLY angry.

Photobucket
Literally.

Terror editing right? Ok lah.....its not photoshop okay? It was some infrared or light assistance from another camera XD God I'm good at taking pictures at the right timing muahaha. I'll be honest here. I don't know how to appreciate the taste of this cocktail concoction. I've been told that the Witches Brew contains Skyy Vodka, Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, pineapple, cranberry juice and 'worms'.  I have no problems drinking it but the taste was too bizarre for me.

Photobucket
The 'worm' in the drink, it changes color :) Nah I'm just kidding. They're jelly bean 'worms'.

For faint hearted(like myself), fret not because there is a something  for you...er..i mean us. There is another special sexy devilish drink called Vampire Kiss. I love this drink. I don't mind putting my ego down but I love this drink. Its sweet, full of citrus goodness and you get that cooling sensation down your throat. Its a mocktail that contains lemon, strawberry and sprite. Cool stuff indeed.

Roma's Sampler

It consists of half of the onion loaf, potato skin and boneless buffalo bites. Here comes the break down :D

Photobucket
Boneless Buffalo Bites

I couldn't tell what it was until I was told. Was kinda surprised that it was actually chicken(boneless). It was okay but I felt that it was coated with too much batter. It also has this sourish and salty flavor.

Photobucket
Potato Skin

This was one of my favorite appetizer of the night. Potato skin topped with cheddar cheese, diced up beef bacon and fresh chives. Its kinda like a thin crust pizza. I had this with their special blend of sour cream sauce; Amazingly delicious.

Photobucket
Onion Loaf

This is a must try when you're at Tony Roma's. Giant Spanish onions breaded and then deep fried. The dipping sauce is some in-house mix which tasted like thousand island's sauce. Although it looks like a 'loaf' of onions, its pretty easy to separate each layer. Despite being deep fried, the onions was still full of its natural sweetness. I was also surprised that it wasn't really oily. I shouldn't be comparing with others but this is WAY better than the conventional fast food onion ring.

The main star of the night, Bountiful Beef Ribs

Photobucket

I had a hard time blogging this because thinking back on how these ribs tasted was simply mouth watering. I'm not exaggerating but when it comes to good and delicious food, this is it. The outer part of the ribs were crispy and slightly charred but it was moist and tender on the inside. Plus I've been told that if the meat falls off easily from the bone, it means that it was done perfectly but please don't try to flick the bone to get the meat out la.

Photobucket
The ribs were so good, you can even eat it on its own; now where have I heard that before...

Photobucket

The mash potato here is very tasty. Although its without any gravy and stuff, it was very well seasoned and topped with some diced beef bacon and chives. The seasoning of salt and pepper was just the right amount to help enhance the mash potato; not too salty while the fragrant flavors of the pepper also comes into play.

Photobucket

The coleslaw was kinda light in my opinion. Would have preferred to have more dressing or something but it was still nice. Probably they didn't want to give you too much of the good stuff and be overwhelmed with too many flavors.

BBQ Chicken

Of course the chicken was the main attraction but the fries on the other hand caught my attention. Why? It was cooked with its skin still intact! Kinda gives you that rustic feeling.

Grilled Pacific Cod  with tomato Pesto Salad

I enjoyed this dish a lot. It requires 3 steps though. Choose your fish(salmon or pacific cod), Choose your flavor(grilled, blackened or pan-seared with a sesame crust) and Choose your finish(toppings of sweet thai chili sauce, kickin' sauce, garlic scampi butter or tomato pesto salad). The one in the picture is grilled pacific cod and finished with tomato pesto salad. The fish was slightly charred by the grilling process but the flesh was very springy; very QQ! Add some lemon juice and let the juices roll! Acidic flavor from the lemon and sourness coming from the tomato toppings were just perfect. The rice here tasted really unique because it tasted like chicken rice! Probably their own seasoning of butter, garlic and other ingredients....not sure what it is but it is delicious!
