What's up everyone! my blog has been selected for this year's Time Out KL Food Awards 2011 for a special category. This time, there is a new category featuring some of KL's top food bloggers with their own choice of 'best meal' in the past 12 months; Blogger's Choice Award. I'm am very honored to be one of the selected bloggers for this and my nomination goes out to Andes at Aman Suria for their delicious pork burger.

Below is my review of the place.

Nasi Lemak 2.0

If you haven't heard, Nasi Lemak 2.0 will available in cinema nationwide starting from 8th September 2011! Yeap, that means it started yesterday! I wanted to blog about this sooner but I had other obligations which kept me busy from blogging.

Before I continue, I would like to thank Mike for inviting me to the Nasi Lemak 2.0 screening at e@curve on the 28th of August 2011. It was amazing being able to get up close with the actors and actresses of the movie.

Thanks Mike!

I didn't bring my camera that night. Huge mistake on my part. I didn't know it was going to be such a huge event :( I missed such a huge opportunity to shoot our talented local artists that were in the movie!

However all was not lost! I got to take a picture with the main man himself, Namewee!

These were taken before they walked down the red carpet. Pretty awesome right? Anyway, below are some shots of the celebs on stage before the movie.

Not to spoil it all for you but it depicts what is currently happening Malaysia; humorously. The movie is definitely worth watching in my opinion. The title is pretty much appropriate for the movie. Also, don't worry about the language because there are subtitles but if you need to know, they use Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Mandarin, Teochew, Tamil and typical Manglish-lah. Just like the dish nasi lemak, the movie has all the necessary ingredients for a good show.

To sum it up, please check out the show. Not because it is entertaining but I believe it's something that we as Malaysians can be proud of. Watch and you'll understand.

Enjoy!

Cooking 101: Homemade Butter Cheese and Almond Cake

DSC_1745

Cooking 101 is back! My wife and I baked our own Butter Cheese and Almond Cake. Its a very simple cake to bake. Below are the list of ingredients you will need. Do take note though, we didn't use any measurement tools so I have no idea how many grams of sugar/flour and etc is used. LOL. So it's all based on 'agak-agak'.
