Robot Sushi at Sunway Pyramid

Robots in disguise

Okay those aren't actual names of the food but anyway thanks to Advertlets, I got to attend the official launch of ROBOT SUSHI at Sunway Pyramid last Wednesday. Its was a media launch event where media guest will be able to preview the restaurant before anyone else. Fuh macam glamour siut!

I arrived at Sunway Pyramid TOO early and I tweeted "Is there anyone else here now?" on my phone. As soon as I hit the send button, I heard some peeps calling me; Feeq, Thong Kai, and Brendan who was chilling out at Starbucks. We were pissed at ourselves for not bringing our "Buy 1 Free 1" Starbucks vouchers so we ended up chatting for abit before proceeding to Robot Sushi LOL.

Konichiwa! Welcome to  Roboto sushi!

First impression of the place? Not your typical Sushi-King-like ambiance that's for sure. And its not really "Robotic" either. Its a little different from most japanese restaurant. Robot Sushi is going for a more contemporary approach; Groovy, Chic and Urban! No moving food rails over here so everything is prepared upon order. Apart from just casual dining with family and friends, Robot Sushi also provides facilities to hold private functions or parties with special food and beverage packages to suit anyone's needs. How cool is that?

For this launch, there was more than 150 guests, with lots of food and free flow of......

The man himself, Mr. Wan Hazreek

Mr. Wan Hazreek is the Managing Director of Darabif Group of Companies. Sounds familiar? That is because brands like Darabif Burgers and Gelare are under this group. Despite being a Managing Director, he is the man who oversees operations and growth strategies of this group. Talk about huge responsibilities! There is only one outlet for Robot Sushi for now but according to Mr. Hazreek, they will be opening one more outlet in One Utama shopping Centre at the New Wing soon.

After all that is said and done, it was time for some food photography. And I was abit worried because it was kinda dark and I do not have an external flash for my camera. I'll let the picture speak for itself *gulp*.

These are just some of the food photos that I've taken. If only I had a flash gun, would be a lot better I assume. It was fun trying to edit them although it did take awhile. Anyway, after snapping these food pictures, I went out to join the rest of the gang for a makan session. Sorry I didn't take any pics then because I was busy eating :P
