Wanna have some awesome pork ribs for dinner? Wanna chill out with a couple of margaritas to end a hard day's work? How about BOTH? Well, at 42 East Restaurant and bar, you're in for a treat. From here on, I'm gonna call it E42T because it just sounds cool. Why 42 East? Its simple really. The shop's number 42 and its facing EAST; simple.

With so many pubs around, what's so special? First of all, they serve some amazing concoction of margaritas. Margaritas, but these are FROZEN margaritas! Flavors available for the margaritas are Original Lime, mango, strawberry and passion fruit. The mojito is not to be missed as well.

They also serve the amazing Erdinger White and Dark on draft! From what I heard, these are not widely available but I'm not too sure about that. Hoegaarden fans, you're not forgotten. Come and enjoy Hoegaarden at RM24 per pint during happy hours.

It was really packed that night and guess what, the place is even birthday friendly! I guess you spotted the large projector screen. So when its comes to major soccer matches, you know where you can go.

Crispy Bacon

These are awesome. I repeat. Awesome. One phobia I have with bacon is the saltiness of the bacon. To my surprise, the crispy bacon served here are just the fight balance of flavor! It wasn't overly salty so I guess they must have used better quality bacon compared to cheaper ones.

Come Andrew, stop teasing us. What's the main attraction?

What's going through my mind?

Yeap. PORK RIBS. Sweet and tender juicy pork ribs. That was the main attraction for the night!

Full slab of delicious BBQ pork ribs basted with Connors Stout.

Now if that doesn't make you drool, I don't know what will. The meat was moist, juicy and tender. Slightly charred on the surface and edges but still full of flavor in all its porky gloryness. A full slab of pork ribs is gonna hit you with a RM55 price tag but it also comes with a generous serving of fries and fresh vegetables.

If you're looking for something with a more tangy sensation, you can opt for the hot and spicy flavor pork ribs. It also comes with their in house special blend of chili sauce which was quite spicy for me; go easy on it for starters. Too much to handle for a full slab of pork ribs? You can order a half slab portion for RM32.

I'll be honest with you, I was a little tipsy by end of the makan session. I had the awesome Erdinger beers and some margaritas. I wonder if it was because I mixed both of them.
