Goodbye Diablo 3, It has been fun.

Yeap. I'm bitching about it and I'm quitting Diablo 3(for now). If you don't like what I'm about to say, feel free to exit from my blog.

I simply do not enjoy the game any more. If you are on the same page as me or just want to kill time, read on.

How it all began

When I first got the game, installed it and it automatically looks for updates during game launch. And what do you know, the update file was corrupted. I summoned the powers of google and I've found the solution to it(go to the update folder for D3, delete the corrupted .MPQ file and relaunch the game).

Now, repeat ALL those 2 more times, the difficulty increases, item and gold drops were still great! You get to farm for gold and items.

And I got to play with my friends, lovely.

After spending so much time on D3, I finally reached Level 60

Okay, here comes the bitching.

I'm fine with paying RM175 for the game. Heck, Star Craft II cost RM245 when I bought it!

After the new patch 1.0.3 got implemented, things have changed. Without a doubt, some are good, some are bad - You can't please everyone. Here are some of the stuff from the 1.0.3 patch

Attack Speed bonus values on weapons and armor have been reduced by 50%

The drop rates for high-end items (items level 61-63) have been increased for Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty and Acts I – IV of Inferno difficulty:

The new approximate drop rates are as follows:

Hell – Act III and Act IV

• iLvl 61: 13.9%, up from 9%
• iLvl 62: 3.45%, up from 1.9%
• iLvl 63: 0% (no change)

Inferno – Act I

• iLvl 61: 23.9%, up from 17.7%
• iLvl 62: 12.6%, up from 7.9%
• iLvl 63: 4.8%, up from 2.0%

Inferno – Act II

• iLvl 61: 23.3%, up from 18.6%
• iLvl 62: 18.6%, up from 12.4%
• iLvl 63: 9.3%, up from 4.1%

Inferno – Act III and Act IV

• iLvl 61: 27.1%, up from 24.1%
• iLvl 62: 21.7%, up from 16.1%
• iLvl 63: 16.3%, up from 8.0%

Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses

If you want better gear, its either you have 20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 in game gold or you have to use the REAL Money Auction House(or commonly known as RMAH) or you can play the game for days or weeks and hope for an awesome rare item drop. It's a game, why should I be paying additional money for items IN A GAME? It's obvious that the magic find remove is to stop people from farming the same area with resplendent chest but come on Blizzard.

It's not about being stingy and not wanting to pay more. You must understand, I want to ENJOY the game. It's supposed to be fun; scouting every corner of the map and really, getting random drops or something.

To make matters worse, they increased the repair cost once you hit level 60. Great. Just great.

Dear Blizzard, can you include in the next patch version I-Don't-Give-Two-Flying-Fucks, when my gears gets totally destroyed(notice the red color damaged gear symbol at the top right), we get to see a naked Wizard(female only) please? I mean you already removed them, why not all? It makes sense right? Demon killing you, ripping your armor piece and clothes off.

Okay, okay, may be just a topless wizard and keep the panties on.

I can hear these coming:

• Wrong Wizard build/skill set la....get items from auction house lor *read my bitchin' above please*

• You're quitting because you suck la. I'm doing fine! I got this gear, I got that damage, armor, vitality. I sold alot on Auction House.

That's YOU my friend, you, and I respect that because its all your countless hours of playing / Skill / L33Tness/ Awesome luck. I even have friends who finished INFERNO BEFORE PATCH 1.0.3.

Dear Blizzard, if you are so worried about Chinese gold farmer/botters/prostitutes/betel nut seller, you shouldn't have introduced auction house in the first place. You guys have clearly lost the direction after Blizzard North crap.

Why should a game have an auction house, worse yet, a REAL MONEY auction house. Item hunting should be fun along with the game's progression even if it means replaying ACT I over and over again. Champion/Rare mobs are quite ridiculous at times. Vortex, Wallers, Invincible, Teleport, Damage Reflect? I don't mind the difficulty but lack of item progression is not helping.

Don't understand what I mean? It's like you've found a Ferrari but it came with a fucking Proton engine installed(no offense to my friends/readers who are driving a Proton car...my mum drives the awesome Proton Saga Special Edition okay?).

You said you've reduced the damage of Champion/Rare mobs but for me, it makes no difference. For others with awesome gear, they feel great. See what I mean?

I'm quitting for now. I feel dumb spending hours in the game only to get worse. My gold was about 1.2 million but due to repair costs, I'm about 800K now. Bad item drops while repair cost is more than the amount of gold I'm collecting.

The only awesome find so far after reaching Level 60?

Some fucking mushrooms

p/s: On a side note, thank God they didn't screw up Star Craft II.
