Day 4 at Taipei! For the remaining 4 days, we were free to travel around places and stuff; We decided to go for the Flora Expo. It wasn't far from the hotel and instead of taking the MRT, we actually WALKED; a few KMs I guess. Be warned! This post will have LOTS of photos so I decided to split this into 2 entries :)
We were really excited because we knew the flora expo as soon as we arrived at the airport as there was lots of posters and banners to promote it. When we finally got near the place, we saw the layout of expo.
Huge, they weren't kidding. We continued walking around the corner till we arrived at entry point.

As soon as we got in, we were amazed at the design of the place. There were a lot of staffs and they were very friendly and informative about the place. Brochures and maps were available for everyone so that you would know how to go about while at the Expo. Wifey was reading the brochures and stuff but for me, I started snapping away.
We got some help to get our picture(s) taken
Not sure if an airport was nearby but this plane was seriously close to ground

Dragon design
Once we were done with huge garden after the entry point, we proceeded to some traditional Chinese design area in the expo. Pretty much like those drama we watch on TV.
Beautiful roof architecture
Soya bean anyone?
There wasn't enough water for the effect I wanted but it worked
Although it might not seem like much, but we walked a lot. I know I'm stating the obvious but the cold weather was not helping us; it made us hungry even faster. At this point, it was also lunch time so we tried to look the foodie area. There were so many stalls(which I should have taken a shot but I was saving space :P ) and wifey and I actually walked 2 rounds before we decided on one.
Fried green bean noodles with oyster oil + seafood in vegetables soup!, which was about RM9. Ouch.
You have no idea how delicious this tastes. Thanks to the cold weather, the hot bowl of seafood in vegetable soup really helped warm up our bodies. Once we were done with lunch, we had to place our plates and tray at a designated cleaning area. A smart move by organizers of the expo because the amount of visitors in a day is enormous and a little help from us goes a long way.
With our tummies filled, our next destination was the "Pavilion of Future" but I shall leave that for the second part of Day 4. Till then, have a good weekend folks!
